Play PopUp free online — a arcade game that loads straight into the page. It leans on car, so expect something that rewards a bit of practice. It works the same on desktop, tablet and phone, and your progress picks up where the game left it.
About PopUp
PopUp is a simple game requiring speed and attention. Drive the ball and avoid the obstacles!
How to play PopUp
You can work the whole thing out by playing it. You will want a keyboard for this one — the arrow keys / WASD carry most of it, and the table below has the rest. It is built tall rather than wide — comfortable one-handed on a phone, centred and uncropped on a monitor. The second run is always better than the first — that is the whole learning curve.
Controls
| Input | Action |
|---|---|
| Arrow keys / WASD | Drive and steer |
| Spacebar | Brake |
On mobile: Tap and swipe directly on the screen. The game is built for portrait, so you can play one-handed without rotating your phone.
Why it is worth playing
PopUp does one thing and does it properly. There is no bloat around the edges, which is exactly what you want from a arcade game in a browser tab. Nothing about it assumes you have played it before.
