About Playnix

Playnix is a free online games site. 6,053 browser games, 8 categories, zero downloads and zero sign-ups.

What Playnix is

Playnix is a place to play games in your browser. You click a game, it loads, you play. There is nothing to install, no launcher, no account to create and no email address to hand over. Every game runs inside the page on the device you are already holding.

The catalogue covers arcade, puzzle, adventure, kids, sports, board, classics and strategy games — everything from thirty-second time-wasters to puzzle games you will still be chipping away at next week. Games work on desktop, tablet and phone, and every listing declares the orientation — portrait or landscape — the game was built for, so the player fits your screen instead of fighting it.

Where the games come from

We do not make the games. Every game on Playnix is created by an independent studio or developer, and we publish it under a distribution licence obtained through HTML5 game distribution partners — principally GamePix, which licenses titles from developers and makes them available to publishers like us.

In practice that means the game itself is served from the developer's or the distributor's servers and embedded here in a frame. We host the pages, the artwork listings, the search and the write-ups; the developer keeps the game, the code and the copyright. Games remain the property of their respective owners at all times.

If you are a developer and your game is listed here in a way you did not authorise, we will take it down — see our DMCA and takedown policy. If you are a developer who wants to be listed, see submit a game.

Why it is free

Playnix is funded by advertising. Display ads appear around the games — never inside the play area in a way that blocks the game — and the licensed games themselves may show their own ads between rounds, which is how their developers get paid. That revenue covers hosting, licensing and development.

The trade-off is stated plainly because it should be: you see ads, and the games stay free. We do not sell subscriptions, we do not gate levels behind payment, and we do not sell your personal information. Advertising partners set cookies to measure and target ads, which is covered in detail — including how to opt out — in our privacy policy.

What we commit to

  • No downloads. Nothing is ever installed on your machine. If a page ever asks you to download an executable to play, it is not us — close it and tell us.
  • No sign-up. You never need an account to play. Features such as favourites are stored in your own browser, on your own device.
  • Family-friendly. We do not list gambling games, real-money wagering, sexual content or gratuitously violent titles. Games are chosen to be safe for a general audience, including kids.
  • No dark patterns. No fake "your device is infected" ads, no forced redirects, no countdown timers pressuring you into anything. If you hit an ad that does any of that, report it and we will block the network.
  • Fast. Pages are built as static HTML and images are served lazily, so the site works on a slow connection and an old phone.

How games are chosen and ordered

Listings are ranked by a quality score that combines the distributor's own performance data with how well a game holds players. Newer releases get a visibility window on the home page so the catalogue does not calcify around the same twenty titles. Nobody pays us for placement — you cannot buy your way to the top of a category here.

Getting in touch

There is one inbox and a human reads it. Email miguelmonteracharger@gmail.com for anything: a broken game, a licensing question, an advertising enquiry, or to tell us the site is doing something odd on your phone. Bug reports that include the game name and your browser get fixed fastest.

For specific routes — copyright takedowns, game submissions, advertising — see the contact page, which explains which subject line gets your message triaged fastest.
