DMCA & Takedown Policy
If your work is on this site and you did not authorise it, tell us and we will remove it. This page explains exactly what to send so we can act immediately.

Our position
Playnix respects the intellectual property of others and expects its users and partners to do the same. We do not develop the games listed here: they are supplied by their developers and by HTML5 game distribution partners under licences those partners represent they hold. Licensing chains occasionally go wrong, and when they do the fix is simple — the game comes down.
We respond to notices of claimed infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) and to equivalent claims under other applicable law. We also terminate access for repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
Are you the game's developer?
If a game of yours is listed here and you want it removed, you do not need to file a formal legal notice first. Email us, tell us which game and confirm you own the rights, and we will pull it from the catalogue — usually the same day. The formal route below is always available to you as well.
Email us to remove a gameFiling a DMCA takedown notice
To be effective under the DMCA, your written notification must be sent to our designated agent and must include all six of the following. A notice missing any of them may be legally ineffective, and we may have to come back to you before we can act:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner, or of a person authorised to act on their behalf. Typing your full name at the end of the email counts as an electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed. If multiple works at this site are covered by a single notification, a representative list of those works.
- Identification of the material you claim is infringing and that you want removed, with enough information for us to locate it — for a game, the full URL of its page on Playnix and the game title.
- Your contact information: name, mailing address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
Where to send it
Send your notice to our designated agent for receiving notifications of claimed infringement at miguelmonteracharger@gmail.com, with "DMCA Notice" in the subject line. Email is the fastest route and the one we monitor.
What happens after you send a notice
- We acknowledge it. You will get a reply confirming receipt, normally within two business days.
- We act expeditiously. On receiving a complete and valid notice we remove or disable access to the identified material. We do not adjudicate the merits of the claim before acting.
- We notify our supplier. The distribution partner or developer that supplied the material is told what was removed and why, so the same title does not come back through a later catalogue sync.
- They may counter-notify. If they do, the process below applies and we will forward you a copy.
Filing a counter-notice
If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notification. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3) it must include all of the following:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location at which it appeared before it was removed.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if your address is outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice or their agent.
Send counter-notices to miguelmonteracharger@gmail.com with "DMCA Counter-Notice" in the subject line.
What happens then: we forward your counter-notice to the original complainant and tell them we will restore the material in 10 to 14 business days. If they notify us within that window that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the activity, we leave the material down. Otherwise, it may be restored.
Repeat infringers
We keep a record of takedown notices we receive. Where a supplier or developer is the subject of repeated valid notices, we remove their entire catalogue from Playnix and stop accepting submissions from them. This policy is applied in appropriate circumstances, as required to maintain safe harbour under § 512(i).
A warning about false claims
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing — or that it was removed by mistake — may be liable for damages, including costs and legal fees, incurred by the alleged infringer, by any copyright owner or its licensee, or by us.
Takedown notices are also serious legal documents that are frequently made public. If you are unsure whether the material is actually infringing, or whether a use is fair use, take legal advice before filing. We cannot give you legal advice, and nothing on this page is legal advice.
Trade marks and other complaints
Claims that are not about copyright — trade mark infringement, passing off, misuse of a brand name in a game title, personality or privacy rights — should still go to miguelmonteracharger@gmail.com. Describe the right you hold, the registration or basis for it, and the specific URLs concerned. We handle these on the same timeline even though the DMCA procedure does not formally apply to them.
For anything that is not an intellectual property matter, see the contact page. Our terms of use and privacy policy cover the rest of the relationship.
